Chef Sandra Bio

Chef Sandra Lewis had invested 20+ years in a corporate career when in 2009 she faced a “now or never” moment.  Choosing the now, she sold her house put everything in storage and enrolled in culinary school.

Her experience as a single mom throughout her career taught her the value of cooking and gathering nightly around the table to feed the body, soul, and spirit.

Today she combines her experience as a working mom with her culinary expertise to educate, inspire, and motivate people to answer the most important, pressing question they face everyday, “What’s for dinner?”.  Because the kitchen is the the gateway to a healthy, happy, productive workforce, family, and communities. 

She also shares the recipe for living a meaningful life at home and at work that satisfies more than a fatter paycheck ever could – cooking and sharing time at the table with family and friends.

Sandra earned her BS in Mass Communications, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Utah, and earned an AAS with honors in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu, Dallas.

She is a member of the National Speakers Association, serves on the Board of the Council For Healthy Food Systems, and is Food Editor for Suburban Style Magazine.

History of Life At The Table

Chef Sandra Lewis established Life At The Table, Inc., in 2007 as a way to share her passion for cooking and more importantly, encourage others to create community and social connections by sharing a meal at the table.

For the first seven years, Chef Sandra worked the business mostly as a hobby. She has been employed by Life At The Table full-time since 2014 and since then, Chef Sandra has guided the organization’s unique offerings into the corporate health and well-being market.

Today, Life At The Table is a workforce and community development organization whose mission is to transform the lives of individuals and organizations by teaching people to answer the most important question they face every day that has a profound impact on every are of life, health, and well-being, at home and at work, “What’s for dinner?”.

Under Chef Sandra’s leadership, Life At The Table has developed a menu of services to train individuals and workforces to experience true satisfaction in life and at work through two important exercises:  Cooking, and creating community at home and at work.

Life At The Table delivers cooking skills training in a hands-on, lunch and learn, and demo format.  Culinary team building, employee engagement, and culture-making workshops round out the organization’s offerings.
