Sautéed Brussels Sprouts With Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 qt Brussels sprouts, ends removed and quartered
  • 3 strips of bacon, cut into small pieces
  • lemon juice
  • kosher salt
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Fry the bacon in a cast iron skillet.
  2. Once browned, remove the bacon reserving the grease.
  3. Add the quartered Brussels sprouts to the hot pan with the bacon grease. Add additional olive oil if needed to the skillet.
  4. Dust lightly with kosher salt.
  5. Sauté over medium-high heat until browned.
  6. Remove from the skillet to mixing bowl.
  7. Squeeze a bit of lemon juice over the sprouts.
  8. Taste and season again if needed.
  9. Garnish with the bacon.
